Gift cards may be purchased Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., at the Downtown Evanston office at 820 Davis St., suite 151; and Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First Bank and Trust at 820 Church St. The card is available in denominations from $5 to $500 and can be purchased with Visa, MasterCard and Discover. |

FREE holiday parking continues through January 1
| FREE parking is available in the City's three downtown self-park garages at Sherman Plaza, Maple Avenue and Church Street along with Lot 60 located at 1234 Chicago Avenue for the month of December.
Hours of free parking are weekdays after 5 p.m. to midnight and all day on Saturdays. As always, Sundays are free.

Evanston History Center's Annual Holiday Open House, December 12 from 1-4pm

You are invited to celebrate the holidays with the Evanston History Center at 222 Greenwood Street. Enjoy live classical music, kids' crafts, a performance by musicians Marian McNair and Jim Kendros, light refreshments, and the Dawes House dressed up for the holidays, and, new this year, a holiday wreath sale. This event is free and open to the public.
They will also be accepting donations for their 5th Annual Food Drive during the Holiday Open House. Donations of non-perishable, nutritious food (no glass, please) will be collected at the Dawes House from Thursday, December 9, 2010 through Sunday, December 12, 2010, from 1-4 p.m. each day. All donations benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository and will benefit local area resident

|  In the spirit of the holiday season, Pensiero Ristorante invites you to join them for holiday tea served each Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon through January 2, in the Grand Parlor of the Margarita European Inn. Enjoy a traditional English Afternoon Tea, complete with finger sandwiches, scones, pastries, and of course, tea. Set in the vintage charm of the hotel amidst beautiful Edwardian decor and a roaring fireplace, this is an ideal place to gather with family and friends. Historic cocktails and wine will available as well.
There are several seatings per day from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Each seating lasts approximately an hour and a half and reservations are recommended. City of Evanston's Holiday Toy and Food Drive accepting donations through December 20

Donations to the annual holiday toy and food drive sponsored by Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl and local community organizations will continue to be accepted through Monday, December 20. There are now additional locations to drop off new, unwrapped toys and/or non-perishable food items.
Donations are still being collected Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., Evanston, in the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Dept. (Room 1100). In addition, all Evanston Fire Stations will accept donations before 7:00 a.m. and after 4:00 p.m. seven days a week.

Prudential Rubloff Winter Clothing Drive through January 10, 2011

Prudential Rubloff Evanston invites you to help them reach out to our community by donating new and gently-worn warm weather clothing. Drop-offs can be made at their office at Sherman Plaza, 1620 Sherman Ave., Suite A. Office hours are Mon-Fri: 9am-5:30pm, Sat: 9-5pm, Sun: 10-4pm.
Donation pick-ups can be arranged on a limited basis by calling 847-512-2700. Items are hand delivered to local charities with which their Realtors are involved, including the Deacon's Closet at the First Presbyterian Church of Evanston.
The 2009 Winter Clothing Drive collected nearly 2,000 items. Please help this project continue its success. The need is always great!
