Join us Friday, Dec. 3, in welcoming Title Nine to Downtown Evanston!
| Title Nine will be hosting a grand opening celebration with hot chocolate, sweets and special giveaways from 10am - 7pm on Friday, December 3. At 5:15pm, Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl and the Downtown Evanston staff and Board of Directors will cut a ribbon to welcome Title Nine to the Evanston community.
Title Nine began as a catalog company in 1989, and opened its first retail store in Berkeley, CA, in 1999 as a way to connect with active women and to build community.
"We've got a great fan base in the area, and Evanston is right at the heart of where our customers are on the North Shore. The downtown area is really active and felt like exactly the right spot for us to be," said Title Nine's Will Kuehn. Come celebrate and browse a great collection of women's activewear!

Evanston's long-running REELTIME film and discussion series gives audience members a chance to meet the filmmakers and take a sneak peek at THE CALLING, a PBS documentary mini-series that will be broadcast later in December. This free event takes place on Wednesday, December 8 at 7 pm at the Evanston Public Library.
THE CALLING (2010, 78 min version) tells the fascinating personal stories of several young Americans -- Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Muslim -- who are ignited by a "call" to serve humanity and have decided to join the clergy. Closely following these young, dynamic and thoughtful religious leaders "in training", THE CALLING illuminates how faith is lived day-to-day in a modern, largely secular world. Read more...
