KEEP PRESSING ON !!!
"One thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize." Philippians 4:13c-14a
Solomon reminds us that "the race is not to the swift." Many persons are anxiously searching for the secret to success. Truly successful persons have already discovered that there is no secret, but there is a formula. And, thank God it's not a complex formula.
Paul says, "This one thing I do...to reach the goal for the prize." We ask, "What one thing?" Paul answers, "I press on."
Tom Hopkins reminds us that the number of times we succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times we can fail without giving up.
Paul says, "I press on." Colin Powell says,"There are no secrets to success. Don't waste time looking for them. Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence." Paul says, "I press on."
Finally, Coolidge says, "Nothing can take the place of persistence. Talent will not - nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not - unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not - the world is full of educated derelicts."
Persistence and determination hold the power. Paul says, "I press on."
No matter what you're going through, remember to keep pressing on. |

THE HOPE SINGLES CRUISE
(Reported by Justine Isabel, SIngles Ministry Coordinator)
Well, the first
HOPE Singles Ministry cruise was long awaited.
Adorned in tropical shirts and sun hats, we greeted each other amidst the thousands of people boarding the ship along with us. Although there was a slight change in plans for the ship destination, we were determined to enjoy this vacation. The entertainment never ended! Music, karaoke, comedy shows, dancing and much more activities were at our fingertips each waking hour of the day. Great lobster, shrimp, steak, and chocolate melting cake were just a few of the delectable dishes served by great staff that catered to every desire of our taste buds as we enjoyed the company of each other. Our destination site offered massages on the beach in a canopy under the sun as the music played the day away. White sand and warm water awaited those who chose to swim at the beach. In addition, historical excursions were toured by those of us who sought to understand the cultural history of the land. All in all, it was a great vacation- hopefully the first of many for the HOPE Singles Ministry!
