Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." As a church family, we have long since concluded that life and death, blessings and curses are also in speaking. Choosing life and blessings over death and curses. If you want to be blessed, learn to watch what you say. The Apostle Paul teaches  us that "our conversation is in heaven."  In other words, we ought to rid ourselves of idle, negative, and unproductive  conversation, because heaven is listening.

 

Instead, let us choose our conversations carefully, wisely, and intentionally. Choose words that bring life and blessings to all who hear them. Speak blessings in every situation. Remember that this scripture teaches us that life and death are manifested through the words that we speak, but also,"those who love it (ie. choose it) will eat of its fruits." In other words if you love to use (or choose to use) your tongue to speak negativity, then you will both reap and eat negativity. But if you choose to use words of joy,blessing, prosperity, reconciliation, hope, healing and deliverance, then that is exactly what you will reap and eat. Friendly, positive, and hopeful words (and their results) taste better.

 

If you want it - speak it. If you need it - speak it. The words will make the difference!
