"The 5 Principles of Certainty and Intentionality"

"Make my joy complete: be of the same mind. Do nothing from selfish ambitions or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interest but to he interest of other." Philippians 2:2-4

To receive anything from God, we must move purposefully, or develop with intentionality and certainty. We must be intentional about where we are going, and we must be certain that it is going to turn out for our good. Certainty is that unique ability to know that something is right for us, even when it does not look or seem very promising.

Principle #1 - Assurance/Confidence. The Apostle Paul declared that he was "confident that the one who began a good work in you will bring it to completion." Convince yourself that you are going to win, even before you begin. Winners think, act, and respond differently than most people.

Principle #2 - Unconditionality. This principle means simply that my present condition DOES determine my outcome. Paul states, "Even though I am presently imprisoned, I still defend and confirm the good news." Just as the principle of Assurance/Confidence says that I will encourage myself to the mindset of assured confidence, even before I begin my quest, principle #2 says that I will continue to encourage myself in the Lord, even when the circumstances appear unfavorable.

Principle #3 - Advantageous Adversity. Remember, even when things seem bad, God can use it for your good. In adversity, Paul achieves the victory of his vision. See Acts 16:27-34.

Principle #4 - Focus. There will be times when you will encounter opposition and distraction. Remember to stay focused on your objective, your purpose, and your destiny. Paul said that even though other people do petty things with false motives, "what does that matter to me?" You must choose what matters to you! If it is not important, do not let it matter.

Principle #5 - Spiritual Recall. The principle of Spiritual Recall is the decision to rejoice. Remember that rejoicing is not a feeling, but it is always an option. Spiritual Recall says that  you can celebrate right now, because you have already learned that God never fails. It allows
you to "re-joy" yourself right now in knowing all of the other things that God has brought you through in the past. Look at Philippians 1:19 where Paul says, "Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, for I know ...this will turn out for my deliverance!"
