Welcome to March!  Hang on, spring is right around the corner!

Sometimes it can seem like our family and home are under assault from toxic chemicals. This past month saw another major study about unwanted chemicals in the home, this time found in baby shampoos and lotions!  We start off this month by highlighting this study and give you a safer and healthier alternative.

Also, it seems like when a child is diagnosed with ADD or ADHD, the first call to action is to put that child on medication!  Next week we'll highlight a children's nutrition program for ADD/ADHD along with a Mother's story that shows a natural approach that ended up being a much better first response for her child!

And to complete this month's focus on defending the home front, we will make the case for turning your home into a safe, non-toxic zone by switching your household cleaners to Shaklee's Get Clean products.

Early this year Shaklee introduced new Energy Chews - a natural alternative to sugary, artificial energy drinks, and later this month we will share our first testimonial - all the way from Iraq!  And we will end the month with some important information about B Vitamins (the happy vitamin!).

Your Baby and Today's Baby Shampoos & Lotions DON'T Mix

Healthy Babies & Kids VideoBabies recently treated with infant personal care products such as lotion, shampoo, and powder, were more likely to have man-made chemicals called phthalates in their urine than other babies, according to the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital Research Institute study appearing in the February issue of the Journal Pediatrics.

Phthalates (pronounced "thah-lates") are added to many personal care and cosmetic products, as well many common household plastic and vinyl products, and some studies suggest they may affect reproductive development in humans.
