CDHF Education Videos on CTV
CDHF Advances
The Canadian Digestive Health Foundation presents a new video series on CTV with Dr. Marla Shapiro.

At 54, Ann Brown was diagnosed with colon cancer and given a 50% chance of surviving.  In "The Importance of Screening for Colon Cancer," Ann speaks about her diagnosis, fears, treatment and return to health.  Hal Zalmanowitz, who may have avoided colon cancer through proactive screening shares his experience with us in this same video. You will meet Dr. Clarence Wong, a gastrointestinal oncologist, who outlines risk factors and ways to protect yourself from colon cancer.

In our second new video, you'll meet Douglas Bryant who blamed himself for his acid reflux. After visiting his doctor, Douglas learned that by not taking action, he would continue to suffer and possibly put himself at risk of developing cancer. In the CDHF video, "Understanding and Treating GERD," Dr. David Armstrong explains what Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is, how it can be treated, and why seeking the advice of your physician is critical to protecting your health.
