The photographs of this bridge were added to my files long before I ever thought I would become a professional artist. In 2001, Kathy took an 'extension' class about the historic Applegate Trail. One of her assignments was to travel a portion of the route, stopping along the way at various interpretive centers and signs, to document her study. That documentation had to include photographs of her at the various sites; I got to go along as her official photographer. Living in Crescent City, CA, at the time, we traveled the section... Grave Creek Bridge is drawn in pen & ink and finished with a watercolor wash and colored pencil. It took a total of 18 hours to complete; click on the picture to see a larger image. This 10"x8" original drawing will sell for $720. If you'd like to see this drawing in person, please let me know!
