  • While you are at Bo-Mack's, be sure to enjoy some of the best BBQ anywhere! You will find them:
      • at 119 First Avenue East, Albany, OR  97321 (at the "old town" end of the Lyon Street Bridge)
      • at www.bo-mack.com
      • on Facebook

We met the Knebel family, owners of Bo-Mack's BBQ, at the Oregon Covered Bridge Festival in September, 2008. That one year the festival was held in Albany... in the rain. There was hardly anyone on the grounds except the vendors. Those of us who had extra help in our booths took turns walking around visiting with the other art vendors and sampling what the food vendors had to offer. Our favorite was the Gotcha Covered Catering wagon; we enjoyed a visit to our booth by Momma (Kendra) and several of the girls. We went home and told everyone about the most awesome BBQ we had ever eaten!

Two years later in May, 2010, we moved from Crescent City, CA, to Albany. Soon after we arrived, we were heading for the Lyon Street Bridge to cross the Willamette River, and what should we see but a big Bo-Mack's BBQ Now Open sign! It has been fun to watch what they are doing... and to enjoy that awesome BBQ again. And now Wayne's art is hanging in their restaurant!

If you don't live near Albany,

be sure to stop off for a bite to eat and an art break

on your way up/down I-5.
