Raven necklace
Christina Goodman's paintings and wearable miniatures are hand painted using extremely fine brushes and a magnifier. Each piece is one of a kind and  built out of wood or cast resin, gilded with 22k gold leaf then individually painted in acrylics.

The work is inspired by Renaissance painting and frames, trompe l'oeil, manuscript illumination, and all things miniature. Christina's newest work includes gilded specimens from nature- twigs, bones and shells, some embellished with tiny landscape paintings.

Christina Goodman was born in Pisa, Italy, to American parents. She received a studio art degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Christina later moved to New York where she studied fashion design and worked for several years as a decorative artist specializing in gilding and painted finishes. Christina began her design business in Seattle in 1990. Her knowledge of decorative art and her passion for Renaissance painting merged into the creation of her own line of hand painted miniatures and jewelry. She now lives and works in the San Francisco Bay area.
