Artist Statement

Symbiotic
- In this body of work I am attempting to merge ornamentation and function to create a pot that cannot exist without the other. The form dictates the decoration, while the decoration enhances the form. A dance, balance, beauty, practicality.

Parasitic- I value collaboration. I enjoy the dialogue between artist when there is more at stake than an exchange of words. Trust. I feed on the challenge of an unfamiliar form. My decoration begins to take over the forms like a parasite. I would like to extend my appreciation to all the artists that worked with me on this exhibition.
