JAM FEST + FIRST THURSDAY

KOBO Gallery at Higo is excited to host a performance with Rachel Wong, a talented young artist. Not to be missed!
Sara Bareilles on the guitar, Rachel Wong brings a unique acoustic pop sound that will have you tapping your foot and humming along. Drawing upon personal experiences, Rachel's lyrics connect to everyone's encounters of love and loss. Influenced by the musical likings of the late Michael Jackson, John Mayer, Lauryn Hill, James Morrison and Sara Bareilles, Rachel mixes a soulful vocal style with pop melodies unmatched in the music industry today. Her passion will pay off at the end of the summer when her debut album "Curtain Fall" will be released on iTunes and Amazon music.
This special performance was produced by the Wing Luke Museum in sponsorship with the following partners.
The Institute of Museum and Library Services, JP Morgan Chase Bank, CIDPDA, CIDBIA, City of Seattle, Parks and Recreation and the Office of Economic Development.

Goods From the Hoods
Salvaged from houses built in the early 1900's, the old growth fir had already been here for hundreds of years when it was harvested to build Seattle. Buying one of these serving boards, butcher blocks or trays is connecting us to Seattle history and in a way, preserving some of the last remnants of the magnificent forests that once covered the great Northwest. Each piece is stamped with the name of the neighborhood and age of the house it came from. Goods from the Hoods only uses eco-friendly, non-toxic and food safe finishes. Available at KOBO Capitol Hill and KOBO at Higo.
