Come meet Japanese pastry chef, Setsuko Agata at KOBO at Higo on Saturday
from 12-3pm and sample her special Holiday cookies she has prepared for the season.  Serve something special at your next holiday party or bring as a delicious hostess gift.
 
A special gift box of freshly baked Kyoto Matcha (green tea) cookies and sesame cookies will be available this holiday season.  The cookie gift set come with 20 cookies (10 each of the green tea and sesame cookies).
 
Her best known cake, the Green Tea Roll is also available for $30 but must be preordered. The cake made with matcha from Kyoto and freshly made red bean paste serves 6-8 people.
 
Trained in Japan, pastry chef, Setsuko Agata's desserts are featured in several fine restaurants and cafe's in Seattle.  All her creations are original recipes, made with fresh ingredients, no artificial favors and preservatives are found here. 
 
Japanese pastry chef, Setsuko was highlighted in a blog by the Seattle Post Intelligencer, "her sweets are not too sweet like most of American sweets and very light because they are based on Japanese recipes she brought from Japan. I also recommend her Matcha Roll with whipped cream and sweet red beans." Takumi Ono 6/08 
 
KOBO is currently taking pre-orders for cookie and cake orders which will be available for pick-up at KOBO at Higo on Saturday, 12/19.  A limited number of cookie gift boxes will be available for purchase but we recommend reserving your cookie orders. Cake and cookie orders must be placed no later than Wednesday, 12/16 and paid for in advance.
