Six Printmakers from Sev Shoon
EXHIBITION DATES: July 2 - July 30, 2009

Inking up an etched copper plate; rubbing it as one would a lantern from which a genii might appear, leaving only the inkling of what is to come lining its grooves and textures.
Making a print is akin to magic-- the artist-magician lifts the veil and darkened lines and textures on a copper plate reveal themselves in an amazing, uncanny likeness. This seemingly simple magic act is conjuring of the highest order.
Printmakers from Sev Shoon Art Center:
Diane Davis,
Dionne Haroutunian Michele Landsaat
Lunaru Mott
Yoshi Nakagawa
This exhibit of etchings is curated by James Reed.
