Greetings Sacred Tribe:

Welcome to the magical influences of the Flower Moon that blesses us in the month of May. Many wisdom teachings throughout the world mark time in a descriptive way by naming a cycle to reflect its distinctive features. Some Native American tribes refer to this moon cycle as the Flower Moon, since May is the high season for many flowering trees and foliage. Every cycle of life, no matter the duration, holds the entire journey. While most flowers have a short life span, their growth cycle from seed to decomposed petals takes us into an opportunity to learn about ourselves. No matter where we find home, we have access to the simple yet profound ways that flowers offer their healing remedies for the collective.
Flower remedies are one of the most widely used gifts of Mother Earth as they hold vibrational properties for healing and re-balancing our body systems. From Vedic ceremonies to contemporary weddings, blessings are often completed with a showering of flower petals. Indigious medicine practioners throughout the Americas use a variety of flowers in baths or sweep them directly onto the body as a tool to cleanse, heal and re-balance systems.
On May 17th, this Flower Moon will be full in the sign of Scorpio. This intense water sign highlights issues around investments, regeneration, control and deep merging with others. These forces will be tempered by the strong containment of Taurus, our current Sun sign. These energies will offer practical solutions to long-standing issues so it's important to really focus on the aspects of your life that you care most about. Letting go of control "for control's sake", while also taking ownership of our destiny, is key. Here is one suggestion for aligning with the cosmic resources on this auspicious day. Take some time to honor the flowers in your neighborhood or yard. In stillness, choose a flower, observing its many layers as well as the color, fragrance, form and growth pattern. Allow yourself to become aware of what stage the flower is in its life cycle. Is it beginning to bud? Is it in full blossom? Or is it releasing its petals with grace and surrender? See if this process reflects or illuminates where you are in some aspect of your life or offer insight into a part of the self that may be resisting change or fearing growth. If there are some fallen petals of your sacred flower available, hold them and whisper your understandings or desire for clarity regarding the issues of concern and then gently release them into the spring winds. Watch for signs over the next two weeks until June 1st, when a powerful new moon eclipse may open the door for the next steps of evolution. In less then six months, some of us will be engaged in the deep and transformational process at our annual Goddess Gathering in magical Tulum during the time of the New Moon in Scorpio. If this gathering calls you I urge you to take advantage of the Early Bird Special (see coupons below) and Bring a Friend rates. It is certain to be a rare and precious journey that can only be stronger with your presence!

Blessed with a sunny clear sky, we offered prayers and blessings to ourselves, our families and our beloved Mother Earth. The lake responded to our songs, rose petals and love. It was breathtaking to have a circle of all ages, including three generations of families honoring the Mother.
