Greetings Sacred Tribe:

Susan Lipshutz

We knew that March would bring some sort of change with six signs in Pisces moving into Aries. Yet the massive chain of events that occurred on March 11th, 2011, when Uranus moved into Aries for a seven year cycle, has truly been life altering. Now more then ever, committing to daily prayer and meditation is key to keeping centered in heart and soul within ourselves and on behalf of the collective. These catastrophic times certainly put our lives into perspective and also serve as a larger reflection of the tsunami and earthquake disruptions going through some people's lives on an individual level.

Many people have been struggling not only with the intense roller coaster-like waves of disequilibrium, whether witnessed or experienced, but also trying to focus on their own well being when there is so much trauma in our communities and throughout the world. While our beloved Mother Earth needs time to work through the effects of neglect and the need for purification, we can continue our personal work by sourcing wisdom and healing from the spirit of the elementals (water, wind, fire, earth) by connecting to them on a universal level. When we invoke the support of the Universal Mother or the Galactic Waters, we can then send loving, calming prayer to support the healing of our planetary family. While we often feel unsettled when Mercury goes in it's retrograde cycle, the current three week period ending on April 23rd will likely give us the information to shoot our arrows of intentional living from a sacred compass that lies within a clear open heart.

This month, our Thirteen Moons session aligns with the six astrological planets in the pioneering courageous fire sign of Aries, igniting the sacred fires to reunite with our youthful self-determination. Some of our alumni sisters refer to this upcoming circle on April 9th as the retrieval of our "girl warrior" guided by our favorite Moon goddess Artemis who runs with the wolves. Anyone looking for guidance on "what do I want to be when I grow up" will discover some clues at this session!

Also, be sure to take a look at the update below from our International Women's Day event in March where you'll find links to the event video, photos and audio clips from each honoree's inspiring speech. It was so humbling and touching to share the evening with sisters and brothers of all ages celebrating and rededicating to a dream of all girls and women throughout the world sharing their divine potential in a safe and supportive environment.

April brings us to a critical place in our year-long process. The middle of our body is the organizational hub of personal power, the place where the self separates from the connection to mother and father and where universal oneness stands alone. It embodies the first real moment where we choose to be autonomous, look at the world and explore. The focus of this session requires looking within for courage, strength and faith to direct our energy in a purposeful way, and it requires self-esteem and confidence.

Come join our sacred hoop as we let the wild and energetic spirit of the goddess Artemis lead us into the forest of undomesticated feminine energy within and find the courage to let her run free.

International Women's Day 2011 - 2
There are no words to fully express our gratitude to Anna Wolfson for creating our Great Mother Tree Mural. The beauty of her personal expression for this assignment was only matched by the love everyone gave with their whispered prayer-enhanced leaves on our beloved tree.

Finally, a huge hug to Tamara Wills of Allyu Spa and Dorothee Royal-Hedinger of NobleTree Media for partnering up to manifest this evening with Triple Goddess energy! Save the date for next year - who knows what we will cook up! - Susan

2011 GODDESS GATHERING: TULUM, MEXICO

Tulum beachIn this time of enormous global transformation, women are being asked to live in a new way: conscious, focused, and strong; willing to lead, able to manifest, comfortable in our power, and connected to the sacred feminine on the deepest levels.

That's the focus of the 11th annual Everyday Medicine Woman Goddess Gathering, "The Power of Butterfly Medicine: Preparing for the Global Transformation as Sacred Feminine Wisdom Keepers" held from October 22 to October 29, 2011. This women's retreat, held at the beautiful Maya Tulum resort on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, explores the mystery, wisdom and power of the sacred feminine within a circle of like-hearted sisters who are committed to personal and global transformation.

We invite you to join us so you too can become the beauty you wish to see in the world.

WORDS FROM OUR SISTERS

This beautiful poem was inspired by our sister Cynthia Smith's participation in the February session of Thirteen Moons. Moved by the stories that women shared in circle, she says "Daughters of Daughters" captures what she felt deeply in the days following the session.

Daughter of Daughters

by Cynthia Smith

I am a daughter of daughters

strong are our connections

through wombs of dark waters

nurtured by their affections

I am a daughter of daughters

generations after generations

survived attacks and slaughters

in my veins are their vibrations

I am a daughter of a daughter

it is a complicated affair

much like oil and water

not mixing and not aware

I am a daughter of a daughter

searching for the right words

to create serene soothing water

like nectar for hummingbirds.

My daughter of a daughter, I grieve

I always thought her in route

but I would never ever believe

that time for her would run out

My daughter of a daughter, I dream

in the night realm she flies to me

oh how we make a perfect team

no where else I'd rather be

The photo below was taken when our sisterhood traveled to Shambhala Mountain Center for our 2009 Goddess Gathering. This is the shrine of the Japanese Goddess Amaterasu adorned with our humble offerings in dedication and devotion to this new era of awakened divine feminine wisdom. As these ascended masters are waiting to be in service to us, please take a moment to be in unity with this energy of complete compassion and beauty, sharing it with everyone in your life.

Many blessings and eternal gratitude for being in the grace of such possibility,

 Susan
