Education
|
When we tour, we almost always work in the schools or with students from the community we are in as outreach. The Patchwork Girl of Oz actually can use up to 26 children, and we are creating a section in our newer The Better To Bite You With for children. As it is now, there is one participatory section that we work with 4 children just before the performance where they join us on stage, and many places for the whole audience to interact with both words and movement. We have worked with hundreds of schools in CA and when we tour. In November we traveled to San Luis Obispo for a mini-school tour. The photo on the left is from a field trip to a site-specific performance that same month called Dance At The Stone House. On our web site under education is information and photos about our school services including performances, workshops, and professional staff development. Programs and Repertory takes you to materials about our dances.
