Some of our Christian brethren waving goodbye after our visit to their church. These dear saints suffer from the effects of leprosy, but they are strong in Christ.

Dear Friends,

Perhaps the most humbling and strengthening time we have in India is being with precious saints who, although suffering the agonies of leprosy have come to faith in Jesus Christ. I want these reports of our recent visit with the Body of Christ in India to begin with these dear saints. Also, I want to begin with these brethren because they are the vanguard of a great army for Jesus Christ in India. This army includes millions of saints with great faith, hope, and love. The entire church in India reminds me of the church at Philadelphia spoken of by our Lord in his Revelation to His servants through John on the island of Patmos (see Revelation 3:7-13). And these faithful saints with leprosy, at the frontline of this army, so well represent the truth that "God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him." 1 Corinthians 1:27-29

The reason you see many smiles on the faces of these beautiful saints is the blessed hope they have in Jesus Christ, and the love of Christ they have experienced from their Indian and American family in the Lord. A brother in Christ, who came with me to India several years ago was especially moved by the love and courage of these dear people at the leper colonies. With help from the small house church he is part of in the US, he began to provide the lepers with needed help, built a church for them, and returns often to visit them. Some of you have also helped these brethren. This was "real" love. The joy, smiles, and even laughter on their faces is fruit of the love of God, expressed through their Christian brethren in India, and America.

After sharing our testimonies, and the good news of Jesus Christ, we were deeply touched by the Holy Spirit as these dear saints prayed for us. And they are praying for you, and for America. Please pray for them.

When we were sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with these saints, we told them that "their faith would be reported all over the world." Romans 1:8

And it will be so as we share their beautiful faith in Jesus Christ with their American brethren, and beyond.

They have already been witnessing in "Jerusalem." They shared with us that before Pastor George Pulidindi, our India director, came to their leper colony, and then shared their needs with us, they had to go into nearby towns to beg. Now they go into the towns to witness for Jesus Christ.

In following emails I will be sharing about the courageous army of the Lord which stands with these faithful followers of Jesus Christ, and is shaking India for Him.

Luke 14:12-14
