Court, Sandy, and our Daughter Kim

Court, Sandy, and our daughter Kim   Our first Christmas in Bristol, VA

Dear Brethren

We pray you have a very blessed Christmas and New Year. We, and our brethren throughout the world, thank you deeply, from our hearts, for your love, your prayers, and your support this past year.

2009 has been an especially wonderful, and challenging year.

Court was privileged to spend time with our family in Jesus Christ in India, China, Mindanao Philippines, and Kenya. This Saturday Court will leave for India and Bangladesh with our son and grandson.

The precious time Court is home he does his best to catch up on administrative work, and writing. 2010 he hopes to spend more time writing and teaching here in the US in the hope of sensitizing the American church to the sufferings of Christ in His people throughout the world.

In the midst of a busy year, after much prayer, our home in Strasburg, VA suddenly sold in late June. Within 5 weeks of signing a contract for the sale of our Strasburg home, we had to find and purchase a home in the Bristol VA/TN area, pack, and move. Miraculously, we went to the closing of the sale of our home in Strasburg, VA,  Friday, July 31, and went to the closing of our newly purchased home in Bristol, VA three days later on Monday, August 3. We joked as we were driving down to Bristol, VA with our rental trucks, that we were technically "homeless" for that weekend. It was truly miraculous the way the Lord sold our home, and led us to the new home and office.

May we all never forget. "Here we have no continuing city, but we seek one to come." "We are strangers and pilgrims in this world."

This relocation is a blessing we had been praying for the last 2 years. Our oldest son Walt, and his wife and children, live in Kingsport TN, just 20 minutes from our new home. This is a great joy to both of us, and especially to Sandy when it is necessary for me to be away from home visiting, and encouraging, our brethren.

It has been difficult to move some distance away from wonderful friends we have lived close to for nearly 25 years. But in Christ we remain "one" in Him, and His family knows no physical boundaries or limitations. The love we have found in Him is eternal, and in Christ we will never be separated from each other, or from Him.

We cannot thank you, and the Lord, enough, for the unspeakable privilege and blessing it is to be your stewards, as servants of Christ, in bringing your love and encouragement to our brethren, living in the Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, and Communist nations, "behind the gates of hell."

Gratefully yours in unfathomable love of Jesus the Christ,

Court, Sandy, and Kim

"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command."
