Dear ,
Just after returning from Kenya, Sandy informed me that in answer to many prayers by God's people, and the efforts of many wonderful people, Maryam and Marzieh, imprisoned in Iran for their faith in Jesus Christ, had been released. Just before I left for Kenya, a representative of the US State Department had called my office seeking to obtain as much information as possible to help with efforts to have these saints released. The person I spoke with seemed to be a Christian, and I was greatly encouraged to know that our State Department was also seeking ways to obtain their release.
Following is a link to more information concerning their release:
If you would like to have someone speak in your home or church on the clear intent of Islam to destroy not only Israel, but also Christian civilization, and what it is like to live in an Islamic nation, please email or call my office. Islam is an anti-Christ religion which converts and controls by terror and violence. Christians need to be informed. Americans need to be informed. Islam is not a "peaceful religion," it is a religious attempt by Satan to enslave and terrorize the entire world! All religion seeks to obscure "the truth that is in Jesus" Ephesians 4:21, or to offer a substitute for the truth. Jesus Christ is "the image of the invisible God...the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being..." Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 1:3 Jesus came to set us free from both political and religious tyranny. He said: "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32 "....if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:36 "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1
May God grant that we all "stand firm" in Jesus Christ, in opposition to any spirit of religion (indeed within ourselves and our own churches), as these precious young saints from Iran. For "religion" is not limited to the major false religions such as Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and many others; religion often presents itself as "Christianity." Our Lord called it "the leaven of the Pharisees which is hypocrisy." Tragically this religious spirit is rampant in many of our churches and in many of the so called "christian" movements and "anointings" of our day. As the Apostle Paul stated:
"I hope you will put up with a little of my foolishness; but you are already doing that. I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough." 2 Corinthians 11:1-4
May we each resolve not to be "religious" as some, but rather that we might have "the mind of Christ"; be "transformed"; that "Christ might be formed in us"; that we might "cloth ourselves with Christ"; that we might "know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death"; that we might "abide in Him."
Gratefully your servants in Jesus Christ,
Court and Sandy Wood
