The lollowing  urgent report is from our brother in Christ who is working to bring comfort to the Body of Christ in Pakistan, and also teaching the American Christian community concerning the fundamental Anti-Christ nature of Islam. His actual name cannot be given due to increasing danger even here in America to anyone who speaks out clearly and forthrightly on the inherent evil of Islam.

 

 

Since my visit to Pakistan, it has been my burden to highlight the tragedies of what the Christians are going through, and how it will eventually affect us here in the USA and the rest of the world.  After long contemplation and prayers, I feel strongly that I need to share this issue with you so you may pray for the brethren in Pakistan and stand with them in their predicament, as they are greatly tormented in the hands of the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

I am sure you are aware of current news regarding the expansion of the Taliban and the Al Qaeda in the northwest of Pakistan.  The Zardari government is unable to tackle the situation, as they are more concerned for their own power and control.  Zardari and other Muslim democratic leaders know that they are not in any position to fight against the Islamic Law verses the democratic values.  The most disturbing news is that the Pakistani authorities have accepted the Taliban regime in the northwest of Pakistan - this is less than 100 miles from the capital, Islamabad.

When religion becomes your cast, and you want to leave your caste or belief system, you simply cannot do so because the consequences are disastrous, even leading to execution.  You might have heard that "Islam is the religion of peace."  It sounds superb, but the understanding of "peace" as defined in the West is totally different.  What Islam requires from a believer is total submission to the Quranic teachings and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad.

This 'peaceful regime' wants to establish the strict code of Islamic law in the land, where men have to grow beards and are not allowed to have a clean-shaved face because it's Non-Islamic, and the local barbers are warned not to do so.  Listening to music or watching a movie is prohibited, and anyone caught disobeying would have to face the consequences.  A woman has to stay within the four walls of the house, and if, due to unavoidable circumstances, she has to leave the house, she must be completely covered and escorted by a male member of the family.  By chance, if any part of her body is seen uncovered, even her hands or ankles, she will be punished for promoting vulgarity in the society.  Recently, these peacemakers have destroyed 122 girl schools and 65 boy schools in the Swat valley.  Their side of the tolerance story is that girls are only allowed to study up to 4th grade.

Al Qaeda, which means "The Base," is the international Islamic ideology promoted and funded by the Whabbism (Sunnis) of Saudi Arabia.  During the Afghan-USSR war in the 1980s, the Mujahidin (an Arabic word, "effort or sacrifice for Jihad" or "struggler") came from all over the Muslim world to fight against the Soviets.  After USSR's defeat, the Mujahidin declared that if they can defeat this super power (USSR), then by Allah's might they would be able to defeat any nation.  But the Mujahidins failed to realize who had funded the war and who provided all the necessary logistics - in reality it was not the victory of Mujahidin's, but rather it was America's secret success.

With their mind set on conquering the world through Jihad for the sake of Allah, various terrorist attacks took place against the free world - New York 9/11, London bombing 7/7, the train blast in Spain.  Since 9/11 there have been 12,823 attacks carried out by terrorists.  All the turmoil that is taking place in different parts of the continents are the evil acts of Al Qaeda.  Let me emphasize here, according to them that they have a simple solution to the problem - convert to Islam and your life and your family's lives will be spared.  If you choose not to accept this peaceful way of life then Allah's wrath will be upon you and your household.  Before they will do such a malice act, often times there will be an open invitation to accept Islam.  The choice is yours to live or die!

What if you are well settled in your home for many years, and one day you receive a warning from the religious authority groups to comply with their imposed rule?  You are aware that the rejection of it will come with disastrous consequences.

My heart is so heavy recently to know about the situation of the Christian believers.  Here is what the believers had to experience by the Taliban's (student of Islam) in the northwest of Pakistan.  Tribal areas are purely Muslim-dominated territories and do not follow the Pakistani Constitutional laws.  However, they practice their own judicial rules which are called Jirga (a tribal assembly of elders that make decisions by consensus).  All the decisions and verdicts are based on the members of the Jirga.  The more influence you have, the more impact you will have in the Jirga.  It's pretty much like the Old West, where the rules change based on the territory or group of people.

The few Christians who reside in this part of the country are now being forced to leave their homes and jobs.  These were the believers who migrated there back in the 1960s and were working menial jobs for the municipal government.  Once these folks retired and settled there, they became a small Christian community.  The home church was started through my father's ministry back in the 1970s.  Thank God the fellowship grew in years and they were faithfully and diligently preaching and sharing the good news with others.  Many Muslims used to come secretly for prayers, especially when their wives or daughters were barred, or their loved ones were possessed by evil spirits.

Landi Kotal is a town in Pakistan near the Afghanistan border.  Approximately 20 families were given an ultimatum from the government of Pakistan to leave their residences and move to other parts of the country.  The Christians have been openly warned by the Pakistani government that once the Taliban takes over, the government will be in no position to protect them from practicing their faith.  If these believers wish to stay in the same locality, then they would surely have to comply with the Islamic teachings and eventually embrace Islam.  If they refuse to accept the Taliban's version of Islam, or they proselytize to Muslims, then Christians and seekers will receive severe punishment or even execution.  Negotiation does not exist.

For the safety of their lives, these believers have fled from Landi Kotal with whatever belongings they could carry with them.  It has not been an easy task as they had been settled in this area for more than 40 years, leaving their livelihood with no hope of returning back.  Now they have nowhere to go, except to move in with their relatives, and eventually have to look for their own accommodations.  Their relatives on the other hand,

  

are also living in poor conditions and barely making ends meet.  Imagine for a few moments if you were in their shoes.  What if you were settled in a place, then in a blink of an eye you have to leave everything behind, and you are left at the mercy of your friends and relatives.  ASK YOURSELF, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL AND REACT?  I am sure all your dreams would be shattered. Isn't it difficult to comprehend this, especially when we have the best of everything here in this part of the world?

The above incident is not a fictional story which happened some hundred years ago.  Unfortunately, this is happening in the 21st century to real people in real life.  This tragedy is encountered by the believers in one of our sister churches in Landi Kotal.  These 20 families consist of approximately 6-7 members each of all ages with basic skills and little education.  They are currently in desperate need of daily commodities from infant food to wet and dry groceries.  In addition, a few of which are widows and senior citizens, require medical attention.  Here are some of their urgent needs, as follows:
 
*Basic groceries for two weeks will cost $50 - $70 per family.
*Medicine and doctor visits for the seniors at $50 per month.
*One child's school resources (admission fees, uniform, note books & copies) $100.
*Readjustment of one family until they can stand on their feet - $200 per month (house rent and utilities).
 
This is our plea to YOU that as always your prayers and support would be much needed during this time of crisis.  This is a great opportunity for you to stand with your suffering and helpless brothers and sisters.  In our busy lives it is so easy to be preoccupied with our own dreams, and lose our eternal perspective which is to touch the hearts of the believers who are oppressed.  It is our earnest prayers that the Lord may give you the discernment to harvest in this field, and see the suffering church through Jesus' eyes.  Will you allow God to use your life to change the future of these families through your prayers and financial support?
