Dear Friends in the Lord
My heart has mixed emotions as I write to you. There are so many needs in the Body of Christ worldwide.
I will be leaving in a few minutes to return to India. I will be visiting our precious family in Jesus Christ in that country. I will see again precious pastors and their wives such as Pastor A. M. Das Prakash and his wife (pictured above). There needs are so great, coming from the so called "low caste" Indian community. Most of them struggle to survive from day to day, and we can do only a little to lift their burdens. As you can see from the photo above, their love and graditude is so deep toward those of you who have helped, and for me as your's and the Lord's very unworthy servant. I hope someday, before the Lord's return, you will be able to travel with me to meet our brethren and to experience their love which is clearly the love of Jesus Christ.
Also, just this week we have been informed by Pastor Alex Montanano in the Philippines that massive flooding has destroyed many of the homes of our Christian families.
And we are in frequent contact with our brethren in China who need our encouragement and love - real love that involves our giving and our laying down our lives for our brethren.
We receive letters, phone calls and emails, and information daily our brethren working "behind the gates of hell." Burma (Myanmar), N. Korea, Sudan, and our brethren in impoverished nations such as Haiti, Sudan and many other countries.
I go to India with precious gifts from many of you as the "proof of our love" as the Apostle Paul describes our gifts to our brethren. But when I think of the vast wealth of the American Christian community, and the ability we have to help our brethren, I am saddened that I cannot bring far more. If I could we would see the great awakening that we so desperately need here in America. By "laying down our lives for our brethren" we would be "buying gold, silver, and preious stones" as the Lord exhorted the Laodician Church to do.
Please continue to speak out for your brethren as you are able, and give as the Lord has prospered you. We fulfull the law of Christ when we "bear each others burdens."
Flooding in the Philippines at Christian homes I had visited just this past September.
