Isaiah 52:7-10

7 How beautiful on the mountains

are the feet of those who bring good news,

who proclaim peace,

who bring good tidings,

who proclaim salvation,

who say to Zion,

"Your God reigns!"

8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices;

together they shout for joy.

When the LORD returns to Zion,

they will see it with their own eyes.

9 Burst into songs of joy together,

you ruins of Jerusalem,

for the LORD has comforted his people,

he has redeemed Jerusalem.

10 The LORD will lay bare his holy arm

in the sight of all the nations,

and all the ends of the earth will see

the salvation of our God.

Our God Reigns . . . Pass it On!

Think back to a time when you heard some really great news. What is the first thing you wanted to do after hearing it? Share it with someone else, right?

When I read this verse I imagine the incredible joy the bringer of good news must have felt. I'll bet his feet couldn't run fast enough to reach his destination and to be able to proclaim, "Our God Reigns!"

What beautiful imagery this verse conveys; the overwhelming joy of a happy, beaming face proclaiming that God is coming. And when God arrives, we'll see His immediate impact with our own eyes. God will roll up his sleeves and get right to work to comfort us and save us. All people, everywhere will see how much God loves us.

That's really great news!  Let's share it with someone, right away.
