This time of year, you are spending more time outside than in thinking about exterior flaws and maintenance needs around your home. Here are a few quick tips to keep your home in tip top shape so you can enjoy the rest of your summer.
 Keep your deck safe and attractive for those summer parties. Inspect your deck for loose nails, wobbly rails, and rotted areas. Give the appearance of your deck a facelift with a power wash and a new coat of stain.
- Ensure playground equipment is maintained and doesn't pose a safety threat to your children. Are there rusty bolts? Are the swing-sets secure?
- Caulk all exterior joints around windows and doors. This helps conserve energy, and prevents those pesky summer bugs from taking up shop in your home.
- Check the attic fans and vents. A well maintained attic fan can greatly reduce your energy cost, and increase the comfort in your home.
- Make sure your fence is secure with no protruding nails or broken planks around your home and around the pool. Children could easily get hurt as they play outside, if the fence is not well maintained. That's the last thing you want your guests to experience when they come to your barbecue.
