Our 22nd year at Hand in Hand has been one of tremendous support and careful development. Donors have invested in our work at a new level, our Board continues to grow and our Executive Director, Paul Russell, who joined us in March, now lends a steady hand guiding our efforts. We are preparing to greatly extend our reach in 2012 and beyond.
2011 saw tremendous growth in our ability to touch parents' lives through our online services. Instructors offered our most popular class, Building Emotional Understanding, online for the first time this year. The response from parents has been wonderful!
Thank you so much for existing! When I found Hand in Hand and read through your Listening Series, I felt like I finally found 'home.' My heart is full of respect for you guys and your teachings. I wish every new (and old) parent were required to read your philosophies and practices. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart :)
We've welcomed new instructors to the team, including Yael Rosenthal in San Jose, Beth Ohanneson in San Francisco, Merav Besser in Israel, Jayne Mcinery, Mandy Halpin, Veronica Lovejoy and Rachel Schofield in Australia and Certified Instructor Alaiya Aguilar has relocated to Ashland, Oregon.
Website visits doubled to over 20,000 per month, and in November, over 7,000 readers viewed our blog. We've added an additional 2,000 subscribers to our monthly newsletter-this issue goes out to over 11,000 of you. Thank you for your support.
We're so glad to have you with us as we prepare to triple our offerings in 2012. We'll have more in-person and online classes and twice as many free teleseminars. We'll add practical, free content to our website, and lots of stories from parents to our blog. Consultants will be available to support you in English, Spanish, German, Hebrew or Japanese. Behind the scenes, Patty will be hard at work preparing a book on Parenting by Connection to share with the world.
It will be a busy year, full of challenges, pretty much like any year of parenting. And all of us at Hand in Hand are honored to nurture this supportive community. We wish you a 2012 filled with laughter, growth and connection.
