Strong Show of Support at Annual Luncheon

This year's "Join Hands for Families" event brought together 250 supporters and interested guests for an inspiring presentation about the results and possibilities of Parenting by Connection. The generous support from "Join Hands for Families" contributors of over $50,000 (plus numerous pledges and annual donations) makes a difference today and helps lay the groundwork for reaching a much larger audience in the future.

The new Strategic Plan is designed to grow Hand in Hand to support a thousandfold more parents.  On-going organizational expansion efforts are raising funds to add a talented Executive Director to our staff, expanding our Board of Directors and finding new office space to house our growing team.

Parents deserve a lot of support. Together, we can put the power to resolve universal family challenges in the hands of every parent.

Limits and Listening about Food "I quieted my mind that wanted to argue with her and say, "You asked for pancakes all morning and you have plenty of syrup!" I now know that all logic washes away when the mind is flooded with emotion. Reason wasn't going to work with her, so I sat on the floor with her and listened as she cried. I reminded myself this wasn't really about not having enough maple syrup and calmly told her it was okay if she didn't want to eat right now." Full blog post
