Greetings!

Earlier this month, LEID Products announced the company has been awarded a new patent for its Biometric Access Control System (BACS™) by the US Patent and Trademark Office. Our BACS Systems offer the highest level of security and accountability available today. The issuance of this patent supports our investment in BACS and its innovative technology; it reinforces our position as a leader in access control systems with built in asset management and inventory control software.

In this issue of The LEIDing Edge we will share with our readers a glimpse of the 'hoops and hurdles' we have encountered in bringing our technology to market during tough economic times. We will also share with you the direction we have taken to take ensure our exceptional technology company continues to grow and flourish - the formation of our Advisory Board.

This month's spotlight is on one of our new Advisory Board members, Lt. General Charles E. "Chuck" Dominy (USA, Retired). His extensive experience, insight, and knowledge will be invaluable to LEID as we continue to grow our presence in the military markets.

Best regards,

The Formation of LEID Products Advisory Board

Imagine for a moment you carry the heavy responsibility of managing effectively shareholder equity in the context of the technology startup company. The hard earned funds of your friends and family, as well as, trusted state economic development dollars are on the line. Everybody is watching and expecting optimistic performance based on their understanding of the perceived importance of the technology to be deployed. Your management team has fought vigorously to achieve what others thought was impossible; they have achieved a technology patent on the world's first Biometric Access Control System, BACS.

It has taken seven years to accomplish this task with multiple submissions to the US government controlling agencies. In the meantime, your management team has gone through multiple design iterations, fits and starts with multiple strategic vendors, and locked down, conceivably, what is the first deliverable in the world's only: kiosk centric, biometrically activated, weapons/critical asset management system.  You reach  out to industry subject matter experts and they are ecstatic about the clever packaging of the technology to create a truly paperless chain of custody and a 100% reliable critical asset tracking system.
