How to Find the Right Camp? The best first step to getting good matches for your child is to speak to a camp advisor like Renee Flax, the wizard of the  American Camp Association. New York Family is sponsoring a free seminar with Renee at Azure, the Upper East Side's family-friendly luxury residential development, along with two distinguished camp veterans--Sam Borek of Woodmont Day Camp and Jem Sollinger of  Camp Laurel. Help kick off another Lolli-Pops season with a brand new show, Who's Got The Beat?, at the Little Orchestra Society. Cute characters teach preschoolers about music and rhythm with classical masterworks. (Saturday-Sunday)

 

It's a Wicked party at Boo at the Zoo this weekend. Cast members from the Broadway show will make a special appearance, and Glinda and Elphaba will perform some of the musical's songs on Sunday. (Saturday-Sunday)

 

Prepare to be spellbound during the Enchanted Wave Hill Weekend, two days filled with magic wands, fairy houses, sorcery tales and a Garden Folklore Walk to unearth the myths of witch hazel and snakeroot. (Saturday-Sunday)

 

If you like the Sunday funnies, you'll love the Nursery Rhyme Comics Book Release at the powerHouse Arena. The book contains 50 classic nursery rhymes with a modern spin by 50 celebrated cartoonists. Participating artists will help kids create their own nursery rhyme comics. (Saturday)

 

Halloween isn't just for humans at the 21st Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade. Bring your best- and scariest-dressed furry friends to compete in three rounds to win prizes. (Saturday)

 

The Queens Museum of Art will transform into a spooktastic world at the Boo! Spooktacular: A Halloween Fundraiser. Kids can have fun with a costume parade, pumpkin carving, tarot card reading and even a "creepy" photo booth. (Saturday)
