You’re looking at your calendar, scheduling the next budget meeting and it suddenly hits you: Summer is almost over and you still haven’t taken that fun road trip you’ve been thinking about. So you pull out your map, or perhaps visit your favorite online map service to start figuring out where to go and how to get there. You pick a destination and randomly point to a road on the map near your destination, saying, “That’s the road we’re taking.” After all, all roads seem the same and will eventually lead you to your destination, so it doesn’t really matter which road you take. Right?
Well, there’s obviously more to think about. Which road is more direct? Will this one take you on detours through many different roads, bringing you to your destination in a longer, roundabout way? Does the road have an HOV lane that will let you travel faster? Yes, all roads might look the same, but inevitably, some roads are better than others.
Internet service, like travel routes, is not all created equal. Welcome to a better Internet.
When planning your road trip, you want the route that will get you there in the fastest, most direct way (unless, of course, you want to go sightseeing). When you’re sending an email, transferring data or accessing online content, you want the information you’re sending and receiving to get there in the fastest, most direct way possible...and you really don’t want your data to do any sightseeing. With most ISPs, data packets are routed through public peering. That means it’s sent off to the next available ISP to keep moving the data along toward its destination. Since that ISP isn’t getting paid to carry it, they try to get rid of it as quickly as possible by dumping your data packet off to the next available ISP. That continues until your data is bounced around back and forth and finally ends up at its intended destination. And that can take time. Since this is all unmanaged, your traffic could be handed off from one congested ISP to another. That could also happen to your customers that are trying to get to you as well.
To avoid this data pinball action, TelePacific has set up a robust Private Peering system. We have negotiated agreements with some of the world’s largest carriers. Chances are very good that one of them actually hosts the requested domain to which you want to send data or are directly peered with the ISP that hosts that destination address. So we hand off that packet privately through our negotiated and managed network agreement with that serving peer, which they carry to the destination and back. Since there are fewer hand-offs and more active management, there is less latency and your traffic routes quicker as does that of our customers that are trying to reach you. That means your business runs more efficiently, experiencing potential performance and application improvements, all for less than what you might pay another provider for the same service.
So yes, TelePacific does offer better Internet. But that’s not all. TelePacific offers more than what other ISPs or cable companies can offer, including:
- Dynamic Voice and Data Services: Bandwidth automatically adjusts based on the number of voice channels utilized at any given moment. When fewer voice channels are used, data capacity is increased.
- Fully Meshed and Dynamically Routed: Our network facilities are interconnected, which enables traffic to be automatically diverted over the meshed network to another POP when needed.

- Managed Routers: If your router breaks, a skilled TelePacific technician will replace it. Most other carriers will just mail you a replacement and require you to replace defective equipment.
- Service Level Agreements: Our SLAs include 99.999% network availability between peers and less than 1% packet loss.
- One Provider: TelePacific can be you single provider for all locations because we have coverage across AT&T, Verizon and Embarq territories (and none of those companies cross over into another’s territory). You can have just one provider, one bill and one point of contact for all your voice and data needs.
- Turnkey Solutions: We offer latency-free turnkey services that provide combined voice and data solutions. With TelePacific, we can take care of it all with our robust suite of voice and data services.
- Peace of Mind: We offer a suite of managed services to protect your valuable data in the event of human error, disaster, service outage or network intrusion.
And above all else, we offer the trademark TelePacific customer service customers expect from us. Our employees are well-trained in our products and services and are empowered to resolve any issue that may arise. And when you call us with a question or an issue, your call will be answered within 30 seconds or less, more than 90% of the time. In fact, we are so confident about this, we encourage you to pick up the phone right now and test us. Go ahead. Pick up the phone. Dial 1-877-487-8722 and start counting down...30...29...28...you’ll have an answer before you get to 0.
So, call today and sign up for better Internet. With the time and money you save, you may just be able to take a longer road trip.
