Youth Learn Value of Paying a Debt

 

In Roanoke, there's an alternative for teens between the ages of 12 and 17 who get involved in crime. Project Payback gives juvenile offenders a way to make restitution and "pay back" those whom they have hurt, as well as a chance to turn their own lives around.  Click here to find out how this program works.

Roanoke Celebrates All-America City Win
 

 

Some of our youngest citizens gathered Sept. 14 on Mill Mountain for a ceremony to celebrate Roanoke being chosen as a 2012 All-America City. Children from One Step Further Childcare Center; South Roanoke United Methodist Preschool; TAP Head Start Lansdowne, Jefferson Street, and Rutherford Child Development Centers attended, as well as kindergartners from Lincoln Terrace Elementary School.
