Market Building re-opens for business after year of renovations
The Big Moment finally happened: Roanoke's City Market Building opened for business on Labor Day weekend -- Saturday, Sept. 3 -- one year from the weekend it closed for renovations, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an Open House event. Representatives from City Council, the Market Building Foundation, city administration, and Hall Associates were on hand to welcome in a new era for this Roanoke landmark. Find out more here. |

Roanoke Outdoor Circus a festival for outdoor sports enthusiasts
The inaugural Roanoke Outdoor Circus, a sports festival that features a host of outdoor activities, will take place the weekend of Oct. 21 to 23 at River's Edge Sports Complex. This unique event is being organized by Roanoke Parks and Recreation with support from the Roanoke Regional Partnership's outdoor promotion division.
