Aloha ,

Every July our community enjoys "Laie Days" - a month-long, community commemoration and celebration.

As part of the celebration, the Laie Shopping Center and Hawaii Reserves, Inc. are hosting the 16th annual Summer Bash on the evening of Friday, July 20th. As always, the "bash" will feature great entertainment, 'ono food from local vendors, and free rides for the keiki!

A big part of this year's event is the updated Envision Laie Info Center, entering its third year of operation in the shopping center. The info center update will feature the latest on current projects and future possibilities, including conceptual 3D models of the new PCC IMAX theater and BYU-Hawaii campus renovation projects.

Since its opening in 2010 several hundred residents have visited the center to learn more about the area's rich history, public input regarding future potential for the region, and conceptual renderings for proposed improvements in Laie.

Community Beautification Service Project

Also in connection with Laie Days, a service project will be held the weekend following the Summer Bash. Hawaii Reserves, Inc. is sponsoring a community service project to beautify the northern end of Naniloa Loop streetscape.

Everyone is invited to help install flowers and plants, and paint the curbs along this entryway to our community. The service project will take place on Saturday, July 28th at 7 a.m. There will be tasks for people of all ages and abilities, and light refreshments will be served.
