Aloha ,
Friendly reminder: the public comment period for the Oahu General Plan ends tomorrow - Wednesday, November 30th. The City & County of Honolulu's Department of Planning & Permitting (DPP) is accepting public input as part of its project to update the plan. The plan helps guide long-range planning and growth for Oahu.
In scientific surveys conducted in 2009 and 2010, Ko'olau Loa residents indicated they are very concerned about affordable housing, economic health and jobs. Commenting on the General Plan, even if your input is brief, is a great way to ensure that City decision makers know what's most important to you. Your opinion matters and will help shape public policy for our island and region. If you haven't already provided input, comments will be accepted through tomorrow and can be submitted by e-mailing them to: gp2035@hhf.com. To view the current plan, update materials, and comment info, please go to DPP's General Plan webpage at: http://honoluludpp.org/planning/OahuGenPlan.asp Remember, your opinion matters and every voice counts!
