Our next Intensive Beginner Modern Jive Workshop is scheduled for Saturday June 9th at 1pm. We're excited... It's going to be another fabulous afternoon of teaching, learning - and of course great snacks! So please send along your friends who would love to learn the basics of dancing in one fun afternoon and we will take care of them.

Modern Jive Friday Freestyle Socials

Friday Night Modern Jive Freestyles at Rancho are cancelled
Sad news folks. El Rancho advised me today that they cannot open the downstairs room for a small number of people. For the event to be worth it for them we would need to have at least 50 people attending. Since we started the Friday evening freestyles at El Rancho in January although the socials have been fun, and a great opportunity to get together and dance, we have had barely a dozen people attend and little regularity. So I understand El Rancho's point and while I am disappointed - because I hoped with time we'd see an increase in attendees - I can't really say I am surprised. I have therefore cancelled the Friday Freestyle evenings at El Rancho with immediate effect.
Thanks to those who came out, at least we can remember that for three months we had a great dance floor, sound system, bar, mirrors, lighting, an amazing space in a club... to ourselves for our modern jive dancing on a Friday night for just $10. Doesn't get much better than that.
I'll advise presently of future plans (if any) for modern jive socials.
