Modern Jive Dance Challenge Updates and Leader Board

iPod Dance Challenge Leader Board is now up! The race is on to win a bright shiny iPod Touch! I want to win it... because... well I want an iPod Touch. The competition is busily dusting off their dancing shoes and  clocking up those freestyle dances... what have I let myself in for? :-)
This won't be a dance in the park (or will it?) I have the feeling we are just getting started.
Geat fun, especially as we've now got some names up in lights on our first leader board. Snapshot - Nicky's in the lead at the moment, but Loong isn't far behind. Harry and Justin are right in there. Matt has some work to do, but to be fair to Matt that's because prior engagements meant he missed his regular modern jive class and September's monthly social. He'll be doing some serious catching up. Meanwhile, at our September 24th social Nicky clocked up a whopping 18 dances... with some great dances from Loong, Harry and Francis. Want some tips for getting in more dances?

13 Modern Jive Class Tips Modern Jive is social dancing. So unlike many dance classes where you simply do the formal lesson and leave having fun is central to every modern jive lesson and you will see (and feel) it from your very first dance class. After all, learning to dance should be fun. Keep the following basic tips in mind from your first class and you will find your classes will rock and you will learn to dance more quickly than you thought you would. Monthly Dance Social and Freestyle

Please join us on Saturday October 29th from 8.30 pm til late for our monthly modern jive dance social. Dances count towards the iPod Touch Dance Contest and it's gonna be a blast!
We are at the Monarch's Pub, Delta Chelsea Hotel. if you are on Facebook you can look out for and RSVP to the event there. To become a confident dancer it's important to do as much freestyle as you can... so we organize our monthly dance social to give you another opportunity to dance outside our formal dance lessons.Plus they are great fun and even a few moves look really impressive on the dance floor. We do not charge a cover for this event so come on out join us on Saturday October 29th. See you there.
