Well, what can I say? 

On Sunday July 24th we had our first ever Modern Jive Summer Boat Cruise... and what a wonderful day we had. After days of heat, some downpours and high humidity last week, we had the perfect day for our cruise. We relaxed, we danced, we took in the beautiful scenery and just had a great time.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday - it was great to see you and I hope you had as great a time as I did.   We have some of the photos on our facebook fan page... and we've some more super photos on the website and our Flicker site in the next week or so. Stay tuned.  

Also stay tuned for some new class packages, Beginner Intensives and Advanced Moves modern jive workshops in the Fall! More info on these and more coming up late summer. 

A reminder that Wednesday July 27th is our last class before our Summer break. There are no formal modern jive classes in August, however monthly socials will run as usual. So come and get your dancing fix on this Wednesday 27th July. We have some great moves for you.

Wednesday July 27th - Modern Jive Lesson

Saturday July 30th Modern Jive Evening Dance Social     

Last Saturday in August - Modern Jive Evening Dance Social. 

 ** Beginner Modern Jive Lesson Starts at 8pm**

We start our Beginner Lesson at 8pm. The Intermediate lesson will start at 7.30pm and Freestyle will run from 9pm to 9.45pm.

While the Intermediate is a leap you may be surprised at just how quickly you pick up the moves.We have several students giving the Intermediate lesson a whirl, which is fabulous, they do very well. So don't be shy,give it a go. If you'd prefer to arrive at 7.30 to simply watch the Intermediate lesson that's cool too, Ensure you arrive before 8pm in time for the Beginner lesson start and for checking in. 

Class format  

7.30pm -  Intermediate Modern Jive Lesson and practice (please arrive 7.25pm for check in). 

8pm - Beginner Modern Jive Lesson  

9pm - Freestyle (practice time) for all til 9.45pm 

Modern Jive July Dance Social 

Join us on Saturday July 30th from 8.30 pm til late for our monthly modern jive dance social. All welcome and we always have a great time.  

We are at the Monarch's Pub Delta Chelsea Hotel. Our monthly socials are a great way to build your dancing confidence as well as meet new people so even if you've just started dancing join us - it will do wonders for your freestyle dancing and confidence.
