The grand opening dedication for Valley County Health
HydroWorx 2000 Aqua Therapy Pool | System's new hospital will be held on Sunday, September 26 from 1-4 pm. The event will be held near at the new hospital, 2707 L Street in Ord. Governor Dave Heineman and Senator Kate Sullivan will be the honored guests.
Please join us for the dedication ceremony. Following the dedication, tours of the new facility will be provided along with refreshments. Those attending are asked to park in the North and South lots of the new hospital, Ord Family Health Center or Heritage buildings.
Your new hospital has been carefully designed to provide the maximum amount of privacy and safety for our patients, with the added comforts of a relaxing and peaceful environment. The two-year construction project is complete and the time has arrived to showcase the new healthcare facility.

Foundation Donates $157,900 for new Surgery Equipment
At their September 15, 2010 board meeting the Valley County Health

Also pictured are Dr. Lesiak and Stacey Klimek | System Foundation Board approved donations in the amount of $151,809 for the purchase of equipment the for total knee replacements and shoulder surgeries that will be performed in the new hospital. The board also approved releasing the funds donated by the Erma Klanecky Estate and donated the additional amount needed to purchase a heart monitor system for the operating room in the new hospital.
In addition, the Foundation approved the donation of $565 for balancing pads and hand weights for Rehabilitation Services. The total amount of funds approved by the board at their September meeting was $177,374.45. At their meeting the Foundation Board also set a goal of reaching a $1 million endowment within the next three years.
Joyce Seward, Interim CEO, stated, "Valley County Health System is extremely grateful for these generous contributions made by the Foundation. The new surgery equipment will allow us to provide total knee replacements and shoulder surgeries. We thank the Foundation for these donations and look forward to enhancing our services in the new facility as a result."

Foundation Publishes Cookbook
Valley County Health System Foundation has collected the best recipes from employees, board members, and our auxiliary and compiled them into an attractive keepsake cookbook.
They will begin selling their one-of-a-kind cookbooks at the hospital's open house on September 26th for $15. They may also be purchased from the foundation at their office, 400 S. 23rd, Ord, NE. All proceeds will go to equipment needs of the new hospital.
The cookbook contains almost 400 well-loved recipes including appetizers, main dishes, desserts and many others. Recipes include the contributor's name, enabling you to find the recipes of family and friends. For more information contact Becky Ries at the VCHS Foundation by calling 308-728-3011. |
