Waltman, Registered Technologists in Radiography, RT (R) at Valley County Health System, have received certification in Computed Tomography (CT). The certification is offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT) and consists of an examination.
The purpose of the ARRT Examination is to assess the knowledge and cognitive skills underlying the performance of the tasks typically required of staff technologists. The exam consists of three categories: patient care, imaging procedures and physics and instrumentation.
Valley County Health System provides numerous imaging services, including CT Scan, MRI, DXA Scan, Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, X-Ray, Echocardiography, Mammography and Nuclear Medicine. New equipment, including digital mammography and in-house MRI and DXA, will be available in the new facility.

Golf Tournament Nets $24,000
Becky Ries, Valley County Health System Foundation Administrator, is pleased to announce that the 2010 Golf Tournament netted a profit of more than $24,000. Of this amount, $5,000 will be placed in the Foundation endowment fund and the rest will be designated for use in the area(s) of the greatest need within Valley County Health System. Becky would also like to thank everyone who participated to make this year's tournament such a success.
