With Mother's Day around the corner, we thought we would share Eliza's story with you:

Eliza is a 13 year old girl from Bungoma, Kenya who desperately wishes to go to high school. She was raised by her grandmother, but is now in the care of well-wishers from her community since her grandmother passed away last year. This bright young girl has overcome unimaginable hardship in life and has managed to get accepted into one of Kenya's elite high schools. However, Eliza's dream of attending school is threatened by her inability to pay school fees. 

Eliza writes:

"I promise to work hard and get a grade that will secure me a place in an institution of higher learning. I would like to be a lawyer to defend the rights of the marginalized in society."

Together we can help transform Eliza's dream into reality!
