New Aquisitions from:
Poterie du Don in France
Bailey Pottery invites you to visit their beautiful showroom to experience Bailey products while viewing art work from famous potters, including Michael Cardew, the Heinos, Karen Karnes, Betty Woodman, Warren MacKenzie, David Shaner, and the Leach Family...just to name a few! The owners have also just acquired new creations from galleries in France! Owners Jim and Anne Bailey were recently invited to spend time with Anne's best friend from college, potter Suzy Atkins, in Le Fel France. Suzy and Anne attended Harrow College of Art back in the 70's in London when it was run by Michael Casson and Victor Magrie. Since that time, Suzy and her designer husband, Nigel, have become major forces in the European clay scene. Suzy Atkins has been honored with the French Legion Medal of Honor for her beautiful pots and the gallery they built Poterie du Don, in Le Fel is one of the most important ceramic venues in France. They show innovative ceramic work from all over Europe. Anne and Jim were most impressed with the gallery, the quality of the claywork presented and their beautiful work space. We recommend it as a destination to anyone traveling in southeastern France. Anne and Jim brought many pieces back to the United States, which will be presented in the Bailey Showroom Kingston, NY!
