Re: Call to Action - Leadership with LEED Campaign Dear WGBA Members, This is a time-sensitive alert about a green building advocacy issue. The next 12 days will be critical to the future course of USGBC and LEED. USGBC has asked us to send this call to action to WGBA member companies. It asks that you sign onto the below letter to GSA to support the continued use of LEED for federal building projects. While many of you may not work directly with the federal government or on federal projects, the GSA's procurement policies and their reach (as the world's largest landlord) will have a sweeping impact on most aspects of the green building market from engineering, science and performance measurement to product procurement and jobs. In an effort to make the signature collection process as streamlined as possible for any companies wishing to sign the letter, please email Matt Pearce at mpearce@usgbc.org or go to the online form which can be found here, which is the preferred sign-on format for this letter. USGBC's goal is 1,000 company signatures by July 24. Thank you for your prompt consideration of this issue, Heather McCombs, LEED AP Executive Director, Wisconsin Green Building Alliance 920-850-3197 cell 414-224-9422 Milwaukee Office heather@wgba.org www.wgba.org |
