WGBA Debuts CEU Webinar Series

WGBA will debut a weekly LEED CEU webinar series at Miron Construction Co., Inc. in the Fox Valley. The webinars are USGBC approved.

WGBA has long been an approved USGBC education provider as part of our mission to promote sustainable building and design in Wisconsin. The way we fulfill our mission is through education and programming. Many of you have attended the WGBA Northeast speaker presentations throughout the Fox Valley over the past two years. WGBA is ready to expand our programming with a weekly webinar series that will fulfill your GBCI CEU requirements. The webinar series will be hosted by a WGBA member organization and the revenue will support Wisconsin Green Building Alliance education and programming. Any professional interested in learning more about sustainable building and design may attend the webinar sessions, it is not required that an individual be a LEED accredited professional.
Miron Construction, a WGBA sponsor company since 2006, will host our first series of five webinars beginning Friday, September 30th at their Neenah headquarters. The series will run during the noon hour to allow participants to attend during a lunch break. Pre-registration and payment is required through WGBA's web-site. The first five webinars will focus on the five categories of the BD&C (Building Design & Construction) rating system covering Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality. These foundational webinars ensure that participants will gain an understanding of the cornerstones of all the rating systems while fulfilling CEU requirements. All GBCI CEU categories; Project Site Factors, Water Management, Project Systems & Energy Impacts, Aquisition, Installation & Management of Project Materials and Improvements to Indoor Environment will be fulfilled in this series. The next series will focus on new topics: LEED for Healthcare, LEED Implementation on Campus, and Green Codes 101. We are excited to bring these webinars to the Fox Valley and can't wait to see you there!
