Green Manufacturing comes to SE2
|
This presentation will discuss the partnership and coordinated efforts of We Energies, M7, the City of Milwaukee, and Ingeteam to bring the new wind turbine component manufacturing facility to the Menomonee River Valley.
Key discussion points will focus on valuable strategies for building strong partnerships with key players to bring high profile businesses to the Milwaukee area, incorporating sustainability into new operations and facilities, and exploring how sustainability is impacting the evolution of manufacturing and new technology in Wisconsin.
Ingeteam is a $1.1 billion Spain-based manufacturer of electrical components used for a variety of applications and by a wide range of industries. In February 2010, the company announced that it had chosen Milwaukee's Menomonee River Valley as the site for its first U.S. production facility. The company will be building a 114,000 square foot building that will produce generators and converters used in utility-grade wind turbines.
PRESENTERS:
Jim Paetsch, Vice President, Milwaukee 7 Rocky Marcoux, Commissioner, Milwaukee Department of City Development Andy Hesselbach, Wind Farm Project Manager, We Energies

Brightonwoods Orchard, Burlington, Wisconsin Providing Juices
and Cider at Conference Brightonwoods
Orchard was established in 1950 as a
weekend retreat. It soon grew from hobby
to business and 15 acres of land with more than 200 varieties on 3,000 trees.
In 2001 a collaborative venture began with the creation of an onsite winery
specializing in sparkling apple and pear wines plus several table and dessert
wines. Brightonwoods Orchard's award
winning apple cider is a unique blend of many varieties. In order
to create a safe product and preserve it's distinct flavor, its cider is
treated with ultraviolet light.
