WGBA Northeast September Invite

Thrivent Financial Hosts Leonardo Academy

For our kick-off presentation of the season, Thrivent Financial will host our September speaker, Leonardo Academy. To cater to the moment, Leonardo Academy will speak to us about strategies companies can utilize to begin a "deep-greening" process of facilities and operations. Questions such as What should be addressed first? Are there enough resources? Is there support from upper management? will be addressed. The presentation will help to clarify what next steps can be and will help identify and build upon current programs and initiatives the organization may already have in place. Whether the end result is to function more fully as a green building or to begin a LEED certification process, assessing current operations, including water efficiency, energy efficiency, emissions, purchasing, waste management, site impacts, and indoor environmental quality will be covered. If you are looking for guidance or are considering green initiatives within your organization, this presentation will describe key areas of focus to meet your goals, and give you a sense of what must be addressed while preparing for LEED certification.

Leonardo Academy provides comprehensive sustainability services that help companies and organizations understand, quantify, manage and report their overall sustainability. Leonardo Academy specializes in LEED consulting, Enterprise Sustainability, Emissions Services, Land Management Services and Sustainability Training. They are based in Madison, WI.
