Although the volume of sales in Calgary in December was still down, our team actually experienced a very busy and productive month with our sales exceeding the previous December.Between December 23rd and December 26th, I was working on four deals - one of which came in at 6:00 pm on December 24th as I had family arriving for Christmas Eve dinner! This increase in activity has continued into January and we are looking forward to a great first quarter.

For those not familiar with Zip Realty, they were founded in 1999 and have grown rapidly. They are usually considered a "discount" or "rebate" brokerage - according to their website's buyers they offer to rebate the buyer "up to 20% of the commission" they are paid by a seller. The ZipRealty.com website is consistently listed among the highest trafficked real estate web sites.

Kelly's iPAD App for January
FLIPBOARD
Flipboard was named Apple's iPad App of the Year and one of TIME's top 50 innovations of 2010 and it is a very cool app. It takes your Facebook, Google Reader, Flickr and Twitter feeds and uses the information to create an interactive "magazine" that includes your status updates, as well as your links, photos, videos and whatever else your friends have shared. It's all set out in a magazine layout that is easy to read. Lots of fun!
