I'd like to invite you to a special evening celebrating Baby's Space on Friday, April 29 at the Fine Line Music Café in Minneapolis. Our event is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and it's a fun, music-filled cocktail party. Tickets are $25.
In addition to meeting our friends and supporters, you'll hear about our exciting plans to open the Tatanka Summer Academy and expand our pre-kindergarten programs.

Tatanka Summer Academy
Introducing the Tatanka Summer Academy for our kindergarten through 3rd grade students! Our summer program is essential for Tatanka students to retain the academic progress they've made throughout the school year and strengthen their emotional and social skills.

Summer Academy will combine academics with a neighborhood garden project and traditional summer activities like field trips to local landmarks!

Baby's Space Scholarships
Did you know that more than 70% of children attending Baby's Space receive scholarships at some point to remain in our program? Job loss, decline or elimination of county benefits and family instability are among the causes for families not being able to afford tuition. Our annual benefit supports scholarships for children enrolled in the Baby's Space childcare facility and allows at-risk children to remain in a stable, consistent environment.
Fundraising Goal: $12,000 per child

Expanded Pre-K Program
Beginning this fall, we'll expand our Baby's Space pre-kindergarten program and add a similar classroom for three to four year olds at our Tatanka Academy location. Like our existing spaces, these new rooms will offer museum-quality environments designed from a baby's point of view to encourage academic learning and social and emotional growth. This is a tall order as our plans include rent, build-outs, new staff hires and training.

Baby's Space: $10,000
Tatanka Academy: $20,000 |

HEROES:
Event Hosts Welcome You! Our thanks to a special group of Heroes - our friends and board members who invite friends, neighbors and business associates to our event and will stand at-the-ready on April 29 to answer any questions or provide information about Baby's Space.
Our hosts are led by long-time supporters Mary and Jeff Werbalowsky, who hosted our first fundraisers in their home more than ten years ago!
