Dear Imagine Syracuse Friends, Volunteers and Supporters,

Our first month of fall programming at Imagine Syracuse is behind us, and we are so grateful for the outpouring of support. A huge thank you to the Syracuse community, our dedicated teenage volunteers, our teachers and our financial donors.

The law offices of Costello, Cooney & Fearon, PLLC are filing our 501(c)3 papers and soon we will be an official not-for-profit organization. Thank you to Peggy Ogden and Buster Melvin for their gracious donation of time and resources. We are building our Board of Directors and excited to announce the team that will shepherd our vision: a state-of-the-art, fully green, arts and enrichment center for children in walking distance from schools and after-school programs on Syracuse's Near West Side.

Our wonderful friends Bob and Dottie Clark from DeWitt Community Church have supported us financially from the beginning, and we are forever grateful for their faith in us and our vision! Thanks to them, we are able to provide our children a hot, nutritious meal three nights a week.

Thank you from all of us for your continuing support.

Peace,
Jessie Keating

michael Field Trip to Honor Ernie Davis!
Thirty Imagine students were invited to participate in the halftime ceremony to rename the S.U. football field to the Ernie Davis Legends Field. We joined the Syracuse Boys and Girls Club in representing the diversity of Syracuse. Wearing our Imagine Syracuse t-shirts -donated by Kurt Pomerenke from Kraftees in Oswego, NY - we stood right next to Martin Luther King III and Jim Brown! What an inspiring day!
Imagine Syracuse, a broad-based collaborative community initiative, provides free arts and enrichment resources where none exist to low-income children and youth, sparking their gifts, talents and abilities and assisting them to achieve their potential in education and in life. Imagine Syracuse recruits inner city and suburban high school students as volunteer role models, mentors and teachers in this community wide, bridge-building effort to break the cycle of poverty.
