Recruiting for the LK Class of 2013 is in full swing! As a participant of Leadership Kitsap, we are asking you to take just a few moments to refer three people (friends, colleagues, co-workers, board members, etc.) who you think would benefit from participating in the Leadership Kitsap program.

It does not need to be people you work with. It can be anyone you think would benefit from attending the program. All we need is as much contact information as you can give and we'll send an informational email or letter to them.

WE WILL NOT BOTHER ANYONE AT HOME OR AT WORK AND WILL NOT MAKE ANY SORT OF SALES PITCH

Leadership Kitsap's goal is to expand its reach to our community in a meaningful way...through our alumni and current class. That means YOU are a key to making this a success. If every LK alumni and class member contributed one name, that would be 394 names...wow!

Mardi Gras Madness to Benefit Hanten-Berger Scholarship Fund

Calling all Leadership Kitsap Alumni! On Tuesday, February 21st, at 7:00pm, come to the Suquamish Clearwater Casino to cheer on the LKAA float, celebrating Fat Tuesday. The Clearwater Casino is celebrating Mardi Gras by having a Fat Tuesday Parade with 20 selected non-profit service organizations. All participating non-profits participating were given red wagons to use as their float. First Place is $2,500; second place is $1,500; third place is $1,000; and all remaining participants will receive $500! LKAA will give all the proceeds to the Hanten-Berger Scholarship Fund. A hefty portion of the judging will be decided by the audience, so bring your friends!

Alumni Leadership Award Nominations Now Being Accepted

LKAA is currently accepting nominations for the 2012 Outstanding Alumni Leadership Award. This annual award recognizes an alumnus who best represents the principles of Leadership Kitsap in the community. Nominations will be accepted until May 13, 2012. The award will be presented at the 2012 Graduation Ceremony on June 19th at Kiana Lodge. For more information, contact Maurice Correia  or Kathy Nelson.
