Meet up with old friends and make new ones on Friday, May 13 from 5 - 7PM at Old Town Bistro in  Silverdale. No Host Bar. LKAA provides hors d'oeuvres and soft drinks. Good Food, Good Music, Good Fun! Bring a friend who you think would be a good candidate for Leadership Kitsap and get your name in a raffle to win Leadership Kitsap apparel!

LK Class of 2012 Application Deadline

Extended to May 15, 2011

 

Leadership Kitsap is extending the application deadline to May 15, 2011. If you know someone who would benefit from participating in Leadership Kitsap please direct them to our website at www.leadershipkitsap.org.  Every year the program touches more lives with the amazing community service projects and the hands on experiences through the monthly challenge days. Please encourage the people you know who want to make a difference in the community, and serve others to apply. Call Kathy at 360-782-1058 for more information.

The class of 2011 projects are in full swing. There are some volunteer opportunities, donation requests/needs, and a Fun Run/Walk opportunity that benefits the Bremerton Rescue Mission. Interested in participating? Read more:

Team Two: Beds for the Homeless - 5K Fun Run/Walk Location: Evergreen Park, Bremerton

Team Three: The Senior Wish Project - Granting Wishes to Senior Citizens

Location: Annual Senior Conference, Kitsap Pavilion 

Date: May 12, 2011- 10:00am - 3:00pm

Free and open to the public

 

Team Four: HARK the Nature Sings (Hiking and Active Recreation for Kids)

The team is looking for gently-used items such as winter jackets, snow pants, hats, gloves, snow boots, snow shoes, hiking boots, back packs, tents, sleeping pads and sleeping bags. Contact Jamie Osterman at josterman@rfmarch.com for more information

 

Team Five: Healthy Habits and Bainbridge Island Boys & Girls Club Kitchen Remodel

The team is seeking donations to help with the remodel of the BI Boys & Girls Club kitchen. Items include: kitchen cabinets, stove, oven, and other cooking supplies. Please contact Diane Kostelecky at thekosteleckys@me.com for more information.


Alumni Leadership Award Nominations Now Being Accepted

 

LKAA is currently accepting nominations for the 2011 Outstanding Alumni Leadership Award. This annual award recognizes an alumnus who best represents the principles of Leadership Kitsap in the community. Nominations will be accepted until May 13, 2011. The award will be presented at the 2011 Graduation Ceremony on June 21st at Kiana Lodge.
