China's Efforts to Increase Exports May Introduce Changes to Export Processes
Recent news reports indicate that China is moving forward with their efforts to remove trade barriers with ultimate goal of increasing exports. One process that the government is reviewing is the inspection and quarantine procedures that occur during Customs clearance. It is reported that the China CIQ offices have simplified their processes in the ports of Tianjin, Dalian, Shanghai and Xiamen.
Dimerco Shanghai office confirmed that information has just been posted to the government website, however, the details of any changes are not fully published at this time. Dimerco expects that more information will become available after China National Day holiday. Liberty will continue to monitor and provide updates as soon as they become available.
